concept paradidm was coined by kuhn. according to him in the initial phase the theories are incomplete ie they do complete explaination.in the phase of normal science these theories are complete at one point and other pt its incomplete.In this phase a single theory or set of theories emerge as dominant which kuhn calls a paradigm. it is therefore nothing but replacing the old theory with the new.
